Paul was born in Carlsbad, CA and gravitated to sports at an early age, winning his first skateboard competition in 1976. Paul’s love of action sports continued to grow to include surfing and snowboarding; when in 1986, he decided to pursue a career in the sports he loves as a certified personal trainer. Paul’s areas of expertise include sports-specific strength and conditioning, postural deviation, and balancing the muscular skeletal system.

His roster of clients is truly impressive and includes pro athletes and Olympians from various sports such as Taylor Knox, Danny Way, Gretchen Bleiler, Elena Hight, Ricky Whitlock, Seamus O’Connor, Matt Ladley, Mads Jonsson, Eric Jackson, JJ Thomas, and many others.

Paul’s commitment to being on the cutting edge of the exercise sciences is exemplified by his membership in the American Council on Exercise (ACE), International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). In addition, Paul created the national certification for SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard).

Paul’s exercise philosophy has been featured in Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness, Shape, Transworld Surf, Paddleboard Magazine, Snowboarder Magazine, Transworld Snow, and Oxygen.
